Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026
⚖️ This is a plain-language privacy policy prepared as a starting template. Before you rely on it commercially, please have it reviewed by a legal professional to confirm it fits your business and complies with POPIA and any other laws that apply to you.

BizMate ("we", "us") provides small-business admin software. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

1. Who is responsible

BizMate is operated by its owner. For any privacy question or request, contact us at the email address shown in the app or on our website.

2. What we collect

3. How we use it

We do not sell your personal information or your business data to anyone.

4. Your data about other people

When you store your customers', suppliers' or employees' details in BizMate, you are the responsible party for that information. You should have a lawful basis to hold it, and BizMate acts as an operator processing it on your behalf, only to provide the service to you.

5. Where your data is stored

If you use a cloud account, your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure (Cloudflare). Data may be processed on servers outside South Africa. We take reasonable steps to protect it in line with POPIA.

6. How we protect it

Passwords are hashed, connections are encrypted (HTTPS), and each account can only access its own data. No system is perfectly secure, but we use industry-standard measures to safeguard your information.

7. Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while your account is active. You can export a backup at any time from the app, and you can ask us to delete your account and data — we will do so unless we are legally required to keep certain records.

8. Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and object to certain processing. Contact us and we will help. You may also complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa).

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available here.

10. Contact

For any privacy request, email us at the address shown in the app.
