Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of BizMate. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.
1. The service
BizMate is small-business admin software for creating invoices, tracking money, running payroll, and staying on top of tax deadlines. We offer a free plan and paid subscription plans.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for all activity under your account. Give us accurate information and let us know if you suspect unauthorised access.
3. Subscriptions & payment
- Paid plans are billed monthly in advance, in South African Rand, through our payment provider (Payfast).
- Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel.
- You can cancel anytime; you keep access until the end of the paid month. We generally do not provide refunds for partial months.
- We may change prices with reasonable notice; changes won't affect the month you've already paid for.
4. Acceptable use
Use BizMate lawfully. Don't attempt to break, misuse, or gain unauthorised access to the service, and don't use it to store or send unlawful content.
5. Your data
Your business data is yours. We store and back it up to provide the service (see our Privacy Policy). You can export a backup at any time. If you close your account, you can ask us to delete your data.
6. Tax & financial information — important
BizMate helps you organise your business and gives indicative tax, VAT and payroll figures and deadline reminders. These are guides, not professional advice. Tax rules change and every business is different. Always confirm final figures and filing dates with a registered accountant or tax practitioner before you file or make decisions. BizMate is not a registered accountant, auditor or tax practitioner.
7. Availability
We work hard to keep BizMate running, but we can't guarantee it will always be available or error-free. The app also works offline, and you can keep your own backups.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, BizMate is provided "as is". We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses arising from your reliance on indicative figures, tax outcomes, or from data you did not back up. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Ending the agreement
You can stop using BizMate at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
